Background

For this mobile design project, our team was challenged to create an AI-powered app for creatives. Rather than building a tool that generates artwork, we focused on a deeper question:

How might we help artists create work they are proud of while meaningfully supporting their needs?

Most artists don’t trust AI with their creative work, but many can still see its usefulness in other work situations.

Problem

Artists often juggle multiple tools to gather inspiration, organize assets, and develop ideas. This fragmented workflow interrupts creative momentum. While AI tools are emerging, many artists remain cautious and prefer tools that assist their process rather than generate the creative work.

Solution

We designed a mobile inspiration and organization platform that centralizes visual references, color and typography exploration, and file management, supported by an AI assistant called Beemo. Rather than generating art, Beemo assists with naming, organizing, and providing lightweight suggestions — reducing cognitive load while preserving creative ownership.
